44 dead in Telangana pharma factory blast, rain disrupts rescue ops

 

Digital Desk: A deadly blast kills 44 people at Sigachi Industries Pvt. Ltd. in the Pashamylaram industrial sector of the Sangareddy district, and the burned corpses of the dead are still being transported to sector Hospital in Patancheru throughout the night.

Furthermore, hospital officials worry that since more bodies are anticipated to be retrieved, the death toll could rise much higher.

Searches for the 12 people who are still missing are still going on at the scene and in the surrounding areas about 24 hours after the fatal explosion.

According to reports given by the superintendent of Area Hospital Patancheru, Srinivas Reddy, "Hospital personnel started taking DNA samples late Monday night due to the extent of the burns and the state of the bodies. The bodies will be turned over for transportation back to their respective hometowns when the DNA matches have been verified with their family members."

143 people were present at the site when the explosion took place, according to officials. 44 persons have been declared dead thus far. Only four of the dead have been recognized, though, and the 40 remains with burns are still undergoing DNA testing. Among the identified people are- Lagnajith, Shashi Bhushan Kumar, Ram Singh, and Jagan Mohan.  

57 persons have been found and are safe as a result of the rescue and identification efforts thus far. 34 more employees are presently receiving medical care in different hospitals throughout the area.

These employees include Abishak Kumar, M Diva, B Hena Sunadar, G Yashwanth, P Ablilash, P Rajshaker Reddy, Sushma, Rizawana, and Sushma. Among the employees are Kamlesh Mukya, Dev Chand Kumar, Arjun Kumar, and Chandan Kumar Naik.

Victim families gather outside hospitals and sites demanding answers and accountability. The State Government promises compensation and a full probe, while emergency personnel, forensic experts, and disaster response teams work tirelessly since the incident.
