Actress Lakshmi Menon named in kidnapping, assault case of IT professional
Digital Desk: Tamil star Lakshmi Menon has been charged with kidnapping and beating a young IT employee during an argument at a pub in Kochi.
According to reports, the star, who is also known for her work in Malayalam cinema, was purportedly in the kidnappers' automobile. The video showing Lakshmi and a few others blocking a car and arguing has gone viral.
According to reports, the North Police Department has arrested three people in connection with the event. One is a friend of the actress. The argument occurred in a bar on Banerjee Road. The accused then stopped the young IT employee, who was returning in his car at the North Bridge.
The young IT employee was then placed inside a car and driven to the Paravur neighborhood, where he was abused. More information about the case is pending.
