Amul revises the price of milk range, rate hike by Rs 2
Digital Desk: The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which promotes the well-known dairy brand Amul, announced on Wednesday a Rs 2 per litre price rise for all of its milk variants, the first since June 2024. The revised prices will take effect on Thursday, May 1, 2025.
This declaration followed Mother Dairy's decision on Tuesday to raise milk prices by Rs 2 per litre beginning April 30.
"GCMMF, the marketer of milk and milk products under the Amul brand, has increased the prices of fresh pouch milk by Rs 2 per litre, effective from May 1, 2025, across all markets in the country," the association said.
Here are the revised price list of Amul Milk variants From May 01

Cow Milk- 500ml: Rs 28 → Rs 29 (hike by Rs 1)

According to Amul, this price rise reflects a 3-4 percent increase in Maximum Retail Price (MRP), which the federation notes is still lower than current food inflation rates.
"This price rise is required due to rising input costs for milk production, which affects our 3.6 million milk producers. Our member unions have similarly adjusted farmers' prices over the last year," the statement stated.
