Dhubri Shake-Up: Over 50 Police Officers Reassigned

Digital Desk: Assam's State Director General of Police (DGP) Harmeet Singh conducted a high-level review meeting with the senior police personnel on Tuesday as a bold and determined measure to maintain law and order in the critical Dhubri district.

A total of 10 assistant sub-inspectors (UB), 18 sub-inspectors (UB), and 25 officers of the lance naik, naik, and havildar ranks were transferred to other Assam districts on Monday night as a part of a major reorganization within the Dhubri district police.

The DGP notified over social media that Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had called for the meeting, which was held at the Dhubri SP office.

Additionally, the DGP emphasized his firm strategy for ensuring regional peace during the conversation. He responded on social media, stating, "We reiterated our policy of zero tolerance towards anyone aiming to disturb peace in Assam."

This reshuffle is likely considered as a part of an administration initiative to enhance field operations and improve policing efficiency in the district of Dhubri.
