Ex-BJP leader Dilip Ghosh(60) marries party colleague Rinku Mazumdar in a Private ceremony

Digital Desk: Dilip Ghosh, former West Bengal BJP president, married party colleague Rinku Majumdar in a private ceremony on Friday, citing a desire to fulfill his mother's request to him, as reported by PTI.

Following the formalities at his New Town mansion near Kolkata, the 60-year-old leader stood before the media with his wife, dressed in traditional Bengali outfit and wearing a 'topor.'

"My personal life will have no bearing on my political career," he stated, thanking CM Mamata Banerjee and others for their support.

The couple met during morning walks at Eco Park in 2021 and decided to make their romance official after an IPL match earlier this month. Majumdar stated that the suggestion originated from her, and she was pleased that Ghosh eventually agreed.

This is Ghosh's first marriage. Majumdar, 51, has one son from her previous marriage.

The wedding followed Vedic customs and was attended solely by close family members. Several BJP leaders, including state president Sukanta Majumdar attended the wedding ceremony.

Ghosh, a long-time RSS member, previously led the BJP in Bengal from 2015-2021 and is expected to significantly contribute to the BJP's 2026 Assembly campaign.
