Instagram profiles of Pakistani actors Hania Aamir and Mahira Khan restricted in India
 

Digital Desk: On Wednesday night, only days after a deadly attack on tourists in Kashmir that New Delhi blames on Islamabad, popular Pakistani artists such as actors Mahira Khan, Hania Aamir, and Ali Zafar had their Instagram accounts restricted in India.

However, Indian users may still view the accounts of celebs such as Fawad Khan, Mawra Hocane, and singer Atif Aslam.

Terrorists killed 26 people on Tuesday when they targeted tourists in scenic Pahalgam, a lush valley under snowcapped Himalayan peaks.

Survivors claimed that the terrorists separated the men, enquired about their religion, and shot them at close range. Except for one Nepali, all deceased were Indian nationals.

Following the government's suspension on 16 Pakistani YouTube channels for spreading incendiary and communally sensitive content, the actors' accounts have been restricted.
