Lawrence Bishnoi gang member Aditya Jain nabbed in Dubai by (AGTF) Rajasthan Police
Digital Desk: The Rajasthan Police's Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) apprehended Aditya Jain, also referred to as Tony, in Dubai.
According to police officials, Tony played an important role in enabling threat calls from infamous gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Rohit Godara from abroad.
Tony, who served as the gang's 'control room', was accused of providing 'dabba call' services to coordinate illicit actions. He was also 'wanted' in other cases involving extortion, firing, and other gang-related offenses committed in recent years.
Following his detention in the UAE, Tony was brought back to Jaipur by the AGTF on Friday, April 4. The operation was carried out in response to Interpol's Red Corner Notice against him and was led by DIG Yogesh Yadav and ASP Narottam Verma of the AGTF's Interpol wing.
After locating Tony in the UAE, the AGTF, with the assistance of the CBI, submitted an Interpol reference to UAE authorities.
In response to the request, the UAE police detained Tony and urged the Rajasthan Police to send a team for extradition. A special unit commanded by ASP Siddhant Sharma was dispatched to Dubai to finish the task.
ADG Crime Dinesh MN revealed that Tony had long been on the radar since investigations involving many threat calls in Rajasthan constantly pointed to him. "He was identified as a key operator who facilitated communication for the gang. Arresting him was a top priority for the AGTF," Dinesh MN said.
