Digital Desk: The world's largest religious assemblage, the 'Maha Kumbh', ended on Wednesday, has already drawn over 65 crore people in the last 45 days.

Additionally, on the auspicious festival of Maha Shivratri, a large number of pilgrims began taking holy dips at the Triveni Sangam as early as 2 a.m.

According to government figures, nearly 11.66 lakh devotees had submerged themselves in the Sangam by 2 a.m. on Wednesday, Mahashivratri, the final day of the Kumbh.

The figure jumped to 25.64 lakh in the next two hours, and 41.11 lakh by 6 a.m. By 10 a.m., 81.09 lakh individuals had completed the final'snan' at the Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath, recently stated that the Maha Kumbh boosted the state's economy by more than Rs 3 lakh crore.

The enormous religious gathering has already attracted a record 65 crore pilgrims. As the last auspicious'snan' of the Maha Kumbh, a significant number of devotees began to gather on the banks of the Sangam at around midnight.

The Maha Kumbh attendance has exceeded the populations of most nations. Only China and India have populations that exceed the number of pilgrims who have previously visited the Maha Kumbh.

The government spent Rs 7,500 crore on the 45-day major religious event, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi projected a significant Rs 3 lakh crore economic benefit for the state through Maha Kumbh.
