Panic At Begumpet (Hyderabad): Security On High Alert as Seach Ops Begin
Digital Desk: A bomb threat was reported via email at the Hyderabad Begumpet Airport on Wednesday (18 June 2025) resulting in an immediate evacuation and intense search operations across the premises.
The incident caused brief panic among travelers but normal operations are expected to resume shortly once the area is fully cleared.
According to the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of Begumpet Division, the threat was reported early in the day, resulting in the deployment of a bomb disposal unit and thorough checks within the airport and its surroundings.
He also issued a statement, notifying the public "Begumpet airport received a bomb threat mail this morning. We are currently conducting a thorough search of the airport and its premises with the bomb squad. Further details will be provided later.''
