Police source suspects anti-ageing injection caused Shefali Jariwala's cardiac arrest
Digital Desk: Shefali Jariwala, a renowned actress and model best known for her music video 'Kaanta Laga', died on Friday night in Mumbai. She was taken to Mumbai's Cooper Hospital, but the hospital authorities declared her dead upon arrival.
According to senior police officers, the inquiry into Shefali Jariwala's unexpected death has yielded significant results.
Shefali had been using anti-aging drugs for numerous years. On June 27, the family held a religious puja at home, and Shefali fasted for the entire day. Despite this, she had an anti-aging medication injection in the afternoon.
She was prescribed these injections about 8 years ago and has been taking them monthly since then. Police assumed that the injection, given while fasting, had caused the cardiac arrest. However, they have claimed that the post-mortem study will shed further light on the true cause of the actor's death.
According to officials, Shefali shivered suddenly yesterday night and fell to the ground at 11 p.m. (a seizure is suspected). Shefali was accompanied at the time by her husband, Parag Tyagi, her mother, and a few others.
So far, the police FSL team has discovered a massive amount of medications inside Shefali's home, including anti-aging cream, beauty oil, and stomach pills.
In this case, the police have taken the statements of eight people, including family members, domestic helpers, and hospital doctors. Currently, the police have denied any family quarrel.
Moreover, the police have filed an ADR (Accidental Death Report) in this situation, and further investigation is underway. Officials say the post-mortem report is awaited, and additional action will be taken based on the findings. Shefali's death rites will be performed today at Mumbai's Oshiwara Hindu Crematorium.
