Sky Is No Limit: Andhra Woman Becomes First Indian To Complete NASA Program

Digital Desk: In a historic achievement, a woman named Dangeti Jahnavi from Palakollu in Andhra Pradesh has become the first Indian to successfully complete NASA's elite space training program—she is now slated to go to space in the year 2029.

Jahnavi is also selected to travel to Titan's Orbital Port Space Station, a US-based project planned to be established in the next four years.

After completing her intermediate schooling in her birthplace of Palakollu, the space enthusiast proceeded to pursue her undergraduate studies at Lovely Professional University in Punjab.

She has given speeches for ISRO's educational initiatives and addressed students at top colleges such as the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) across the country. She also often participates in analog missions, deep-sea diving, and global conferences on planetary science and sustainability in long-duration space flight.

Her efforts at the International Astronomical Search Collaboration resulted in an initial asteroid discovery using data from the Panoramic Survey Telescope and Rapid Response System (Pan-STARRS). She was also the youngest foreign analog astronaut and the first Indian selected in Space Iceland's geology training program.

From small-town roots to interstellar dramas, her journey reflects the power of determination, education, and vision.

India now awaits with pride and anticipation as one of its own reaches for space.
