Tripura Man Kills Wife brutally, spent hours with body before going to Police Station To Report Crime: Cops
Digital Desk: A 40-year-old man allegedly killed his wife after an incident at their Tripura house, spent several hours with the body, and then went to a police station on Tuesday to report his own crime, according to an officer.
The man, a resident of the Amtali police station area in West Tripura district, was apprehended.
Shyamal Das argued with his wife Swapna about some family concerns and beat her with a blunt weapon, killing her on the spot on Monday night, according to Sub-Inspector Shyamal Paul at the police station.
"Shyamal spent the night with the body in his house. At around 1.20 p.m. today, he went to the police station and stated his wife was lying in a pool of blood inside his residence. "A police team went to the scene and recovered the body," he stated.
The police brought the victim's body for a post-mortem examination and conducted an inquiry.
