Back to top spot; Neeraj Chopra reclaims world No. 1 in javelin throw rankings

Digital Desk: In the latest list released this week by World Athletics, gold medalist Neeraj Chopra has regained his position at the top of the world rankings.

On September 17 of last year, Neeraj lost the top spot to Anderson Peters, who had won the Diamond League Final in Brussels.

At the moment, Peters has 1431 points and Neeraj has 1445. Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan finished fourth with 1370 points, while German sensation Anderson Peters came in third with 1407 points.

In September, Neeraj is scheduled to defend his World Championships title in Tokyo.

However, Neeraj's next appearance will be at the first-ever Neeraj Chopra Classic, which is set for July 5 in Bengaluru.

Furthermore, Zelezny, a javelin legend who was appointed chief coach last year, is also working with him at the moment. According to Neeraj, they have only been collaborating since February.
