Delhi records AQI of 85; cleanest air quality in three years
Digital Desk: Great news for the Delhians as of Saturday (March 15, 2025), Delhi had recorded the cleanest air on any day between January 1 and March 15 in the previous three years, according to the Commission for Air Quality Management.
Air quality in Delhi-NCR has improved to a satisfactory level. The average AQI in Delhi over the past 24 hours was 85 at 4 p.m. on March 15.
This was the first day of the year that the AQI fell into the satisfactory category. Haryana's Gurugram got an AQI of 70. Noida and Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh had AQIs of 74 and 52, respectively. Ghaziabad's AQI was reported at 76.
On Sunday morning, Delhi residents awoke to partly cloudy sky, with light rain expected throughout the day. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts a partly cloudy sky throughout the day, with light rain or drizzle in the morning and at night.
The day's forecast predicts a minimum temperature of 17 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of 32 degrees Celsius. Strong surface winds (20-30 km/h) are forecast throughout the Indo-Gangetic Plains, including Delhi, in warm weather.
