England opener Ben Duckett led the assault, scoring an incredible 149 on the last day. India has now become the first side in the 148-year history of Test cricket to lose despite having five centurions.
Moreover, Ben Duckett was named as the 'Player of the Match' for holding highest-ever score in a fourth innings run chase against India.
Despite the fact that skipper Shubman Gill, openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul, and Rishabh Pant all struck hundreds in both innings, it was all in vain. Gill loses his first Test match as captain as a result.
Fans and the players still hoping for the best outcome in the upcoming Four more Tests, with the 2nd test starting from July 2.
