Chaivalry Lartang named Miss Universe Meghalaya 2025; set to represent state in Miss Universe India pageant
Digital Desk: Chaivalry Lartang will represent the state in the next Miss Universe India competition after winning the title of Miss Universe Meghalaya 2025.
In regards to Meghalaya's increasing visibility on the national pageant stage, her selection represents a major advancement.
Contestants from all around the state competed in the high-stakes event, which was judged by prominent members of the national pageant circuit, in the state-level finale held in Shillong on June 14.
Aqsa Varghese, Miss Universe Kerala 2024; Irene Dkhar, Miss Tourism India; and Amjad Khan, franchise director for Miss Universe India, were on the panel.
Chaivalry had previously finished first runner-up in Miss Meghalaya 2024, but she won this time around thanks to her assured stage presence and prepared comments during the Question and Answer phase. Her performance received unanimous praise from the judges.
Chaivalry, a smart and dedicated young woman from Meghalaya, is about to begin rigorous training in Delhi to compete for Miss Universe India 2025.
Her selection is viewed as a representation of the region's youth, as well as a good role model for future Northeast contestants.
