Manipur: Arambai Tenggol announces ease of its ongoing 10-day statewide shutdown

Digital Desk: Arambai Tenggol has announced that its ongoing 10-day shutdown would be lifted effective immediately. However, the group decided to continue democratic forms of agitation until its key leader, Asem Kanan Singh, was completely released.

During a news conference at the group's General Headquarters on Tuesday, Arambai Tenggol's PRO, Robin Mangang, condemned the arrest of their senior commander Asem Kanan.

Mangang added that, while the shutdown has been discarded, democratic forms of activism will continue until Asem Kanan is released.

However, the government-imposed curfew is still in effect.
