Murder Trail Deepens: Country-Made Pistol Found In Indore Drain
Digital Desk: In a breakthrough in the Meghalaya murder case, police have recovered a country-made pistol from a drain in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The weapon is believed to be linked to the crime that sent shockwaves across Meghalaya earlier this month.
Sonam and the other suspects in the case confessed shortly after their investigation that a pistol was used as an alternative plan to kill Raja.
Notably, Sonam Raghuvanshi, the primary murder suspect, apparently carried a black bag that Shilom James, an estate agent who was taken into custody by the Indore police, disposed of. The bag comprised Rs 5 lakh in cash, her jewellery, a country-made pistol, and her clothes.
Vishal, alias Vicky Chauhan, a hitman who was reportedly hired by Sonam to kill her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi, confessed that he hired an online vehicle from his Indore location to Sonam's hideout in the same city with a black bag stuffed with Sonam's belongings.
The police immediately raided the flat in Heerabag. However, the bag was still missing. After checking the surrounding CCTV footage, the police identified James transferring a black suitcase from his flat to a car.
The case has grown more complex with each passing day. Police teams from both Meghalaya and Madhya Pradesh are now working jointly to unravel the full truth behind the chilling crime.
