Digital Desk: A Meghalaya court on Thursday remanded three people in police custody for six days in connection with the murder of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi.

The three were arrested in Indore on charges of hiding evidence and later were brought to Meghalaya from Madhya Pradesh under tight security and taken to the Civil Hospital for medical examinations before appearing in court.

"The court has granted six days of police custody for all three accused," Assistant Public Prosecutor Tushar Chanda told PTI.

They are accused of obstructing justice and tampering with evidence in an Indore flat where Raghuvanshi's wife, Sonam, and her boyfriend Raj Kushwaha lived following the murder, which three hired killers allegedly carried out.

Furthermore, till now the case reveals two other individuals were also arrested in Madhya Pradesh. Sonam, her alleged lover Raj Kushwaha, and his friends Vishal Chauhan, Akash Rajput, and Anand Kurmi had earlier been arrested in connection with the murder.
