Digital Desk: Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president C Joseph Vijay was sworn in as Tamil Nadu's chief minister on Sunday, ushering in a new administration.
He created history by becoming the state's first chief minister since 1967 who is not a member of either of the two Dravidian parties.
Tamil Nadu Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar administered the oath of office to nine TVK ministers at a ceremony in Chennai.

Cabinet ministers KG Arunraj, Aadhav Arjuna, N Anand, Selvi S Keerthana, and Dr. TK Prabhu also took their oaths today.
Rahul Gandhi, Vijay's parents SA Chandrasekhar and Shoba Chandrasekhar, and other Tamil film industry celebrities, including Trisha Krishnan, attended the swearing-in ceremony at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
