PM Modi’s itinerary includes possible visit to Mizoram and Manipur on September 13
Digital Desk: On September 13, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to travel to Mizoram and Manipur, according to Aizawl officials.
The new Bairabi-Sairang railway line in Mizoram is scheduled to be inaugurated by PM Modi. As an initiative of the Center's Act East Policy, the 51.38-kilometer Bairabi-Sairang railway line seeks to improve economic integration and connectivity throughout the Northeast. Through Silchar in Assam, the new line will link Aizawl with the rest of the nation.
According to several state officials, he will probably take a flight from Aizawl to Manipur, which will be his first trip to Manipur since the ethnic violence that erupted there in May 2023.
The visit's final schedule hasn't been made public yet, though. Imphal officials were unable to verify the visit.
Khilli Ram Meena, the chief secretary of Mizoram, called a meeting with law enforcement and other departments on Monday to discuss the planning for the PM's visit.
