Tourism Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass made the statement on Tuesday, stating that the government is prepared to guarantee a smooth experience for both tourists and devotees and that preparations are already underway.

"To discuss different aspects of the arrangements, the government held a review meeting with 24 departments today, including senior officials like the Director of Tourism, the DC of Kamrup Metro, and the Chairman and Vice Chairman of APDCL," Dass stated.

Dass further mentioned that an additional meeting to assess preparations on the ground will be held on June 9 at the Kamakhya temple and the Kamrup Metro DC office.

Devotees with disabilities and those who are unable to ascend the hill will receive special treatment.

Dass highlighted that the government has not yet released any precise protocols regarding COVID-19 protections.
