Assam BSF jawan dies in tower collapse in Jammu; CM Sarma condoles the loss

Digital Desk: In a terrible accident, a watchtower collapsed on BSF constable Rajib Nunia, who was on flood duty in the Akhnoor area and lived in Dayapur, which is part of the Udarbond police station in the Cachar district. It was later reported that he passed away from his wounds.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed his condolences to the family for the loss of BSF constable Rajib Nunia, who passed away in Jammu while on duty. While on flood duty, Nunia, a resident of Dayapur under the Udarbond police station in the Cachar district, was working in the Akhnoor area when a watchtower collapsed on him. He died from his wounds.

Nunia was stationed in Jammu and had only been with the BSF for two months. Meanwhile, six helicopters were sent out by the Indian Air Force (IAF) on Wednesday to aid and rescue people in flood-affected areas of northern Punjab and Jammu.
